Its all.......

With two small kids you need to get out of the house....

 

My son was born in 2000 and the cameras that I used to capture his early days were various and patchy. I used everything from a digital point and shoot, to my 5x4 with Type55 Polariod. I knew, after the birth of my daughter in 2004, that I needed one camera that would record the growth of my small family in a consistent and creative way.

 

As a small boy I was fascinated by my family's set of black and white photo albums. Stretching from the 1920s through to the 1970s, I realised that I wanted to continue this family archive. I decided that I needed a camera similar to the ones used to record those bygone days. The penny finally dropped; the way 

to document my young family, in a consistent and creative way, was with a Rolleiflex. 

 

The Rolleiflex soon became my way of seeing and my camera of choice. Now in 2020 my kids are much older but I still like to get out and wander with

wonder, with my family and camera.
